Had to share with you...

I saw this blog from someone else so I had to copy to share with you all...

Customers should never really know that it is mlm, all they need to know is that you started a business working with energy and you are contracted with one of the top providers in the state.
As far as people looking at the business, I think you are attracting what you fear most. Instead of avoiding mlm, try coming right out with it, saying something like hey Bob, “what do you know about network marketing? I’m talking about companies like mary kay, mellaleuca, avon, pampered chef, etc… You know I was never really a big fan myself until I found an mlm selling something that everybody has to have and for less! This is what caught my attention about Ambit.
The thing is that most everybody know mlm is legit, saying it’s a pyramid scam is just a cop out and you will usually only get it from people if you enable them through a lack of confidence in the concept of network marketing. Usually I laugh if somebody says it’s a pyramid scam, and then I’d say really, that’s interesting, I’ll have to call the Public Utilities Commission and ask them why they approved a pyramid scam to be a licensed provider of energy for the state. I wonder how they could have let that slip by?
Stupid answers and stupid questions like “is this a pyramid scam” or “this is a pyramid scam” do require an equally stupid and sarcastic answer if you ask me. Fit this to your own style but the bottom line is that you have to come back with something either sarcastic or commandingly convicted to combat the stupidity of “pyramid scam” objections. What do you think Jere Thompson would say? The bottom line is that you need to change your belief and conviction.
On the other hand it is a completely different question if they ask if it is mlm. Then you can say “absolutely”! “This is MLM perfected! This is the first mlm I’ve ever found that sells something of value that EVERYBODY uses! Can you imagine taking the power of network marketing and applying it to electricity and natural gas, utilities that people cannot live without!”

Pennsylania

Pennsylvania is one of the most exciting expansions we've been a part of in recent Ambit Energy history due to a couple of very unique factors. First off Pennsylvania is a state where Ambit is able to offer very significant savings to customers which makes it very easy to gather customers. At the launch of PA, Ambit rolled out rates that were tied for the absolute lowest in the entire PECO service territory. In addition, we don't have to worry about credit checks or deposits like most ESCO's.

One of the more intangible perks to working in PA is the public awareness of energy deregulation is very well established. The Public utilities commission of Pennsylvania has done a stellar job of educating the public on the fact that energy deregulation has arrived and not only is safe to switch to an alternate energy supplier, but in fact you better switch or else your rates will go up. Check out the PA public utilities commission sponsored website which is designed to educate and help customers take advantage of energy deregulation. http://www.papowerswitch.com

Ambit Energy Pennsylvania-Current Areas
Ambit Energy launched Pennsylvania with the PECO territory on February 1st. This territory essentially includes the Greater Philadelphia area. Ambit's expansion continued on April 7th when they opened the PPL service territory which includes much of central and Eastern Pennsylvania. Cities included in the PPL territory include Harrisburg, Scranton, Lancaster, Allentown and Williamsport. Stay tuned more territories are coming soon!

Why Ambit Energy Is The 'Perfect Business'

A recent article on global entrepreneurship in the Wall Street Journal listed the United States as the 3rd best nation in the world to start a business. Denmark was number one.
For Ambit Consultants, this comes as no surprise! After all, for only $429 the new business owner opens their door as:
Inc. Magazines 2010 Fastest Growing Company in America!
Offering a product consumers already purchase, for less, guaranteed!
Offering consumers an option to choose a green alternative!
Getting paid to help others. The more you help others, the more you succeed!

Sounds simple enough, right? They why does it never seem to fail, regardless of how great it sounds, there always seems to be that one objection: "I don't have the money." The irony to that statement is, unless something changes, neither will your situation. You must take the steps to make something different happen!

Therefore, we have to help people understand why there's never been a better time nor a better company to help to make that change. Now we could all move to Denmark, but the average cost of starting a business there is $256,527. The U.S faired a little better. The average cost to start a business here is $174,958!
I'm sorry how much did you say it was to join Ambit?

Our History

Ambit Energy was founded in early 2006 at a Potbelly’s restaurant in Addison, Texas over a couple of turkey sandwiches. Introduced through a mutual friend, Jere Thompson and Chris Chambless met for lunch to discuss energy deregulation. They liked the opportunity, and they liked each other. During lunch, they made a few important decisions: to build the finest and most respected retail energy company in the country, and to never sacrifice their integrity for growth.

The work began immediately in an office space borrowed from Jere’s brother, David. A few weeks later, Jere and Chris set up their own offices in an open, renovated warehouse in the historic West End district of downtown Dallas, Texas. They bought several $19 fold-up tables to use as desks and assembled an experienced team of executives who shared their vision. The rest is history and the results have been extraordinary.

In 2008, Ambit recorded revenues of almost $200 million and nearly $325 million in 2009. In fact, as a result of our tremendous growth, Ambit Energy was named the fastest-growing privately held company in north Texas by SMU's Caruth Institute for Entrepreneurship in their annual Dallas 100™ rankings.

Today, our existing customer relationships are managed by a well-trained, US-based Customer Care center. Our representatives use BlueNet™, a proprietary integrated customer management and billing system designed by the IT team at Ambit. BlueNet™ manages all aspects of the customer life-cycle, from the utility transactions that take place between customers and transmission providers to Web-based account management tools, to billing and collections.

Right now, we're one of the fastest growing retail energy providers in every market where we operate. And all of the members of our executive team, including Jere and Chris, still sit at those $19 fold-up tables. Stop by for a visit the next time you’re in Dallas.
Our Vision

Ambit Energy's vision is to be the finest and most respected retail energy provider in the United States.
